So, I finally got to watching Shelter (2007). You know, the indie film that somehow got super popular (within certain circles, anyway), with Zach and Shaun? Yea that one. Anyway.
-Its popularity is a little baffling. I mean, it's a nice movie, but I didn't seen anything so super special about it to see why fandom chose THIS movie.
-I don't know if this has anything with it being indie, but I felt it was a tad slow. BUT very nice soundrack, and it was a thoughtful movie.
-I found Zach hard to sympathies with. He's a nice guy, very responsible and everything, but I something about him just didn't sit well with me.
-Tori. Maybe that's why. I spent most of the movie a bit pissed off at him. I can't STAND it when people intentionally lead other people on. The specific of their dynamic was kinda triggering to me too. But they made up, and it seemed like he DID really care about her. And she forgave him, so I forgave him too.
-I kinda feel like my expectations were set too high by all the hype. I think I was expecting a lot more from this movie than I got.
