Looking back, did you write more fics than you thought you would this year, less than you thought, or about what you predicted?
Less. I didn’t have a concrete expectation, but I thought I would write about as much as last year. As it turns out, my word count is less than half as much from last year and I wrote just over 2/3 of last years fic count. I guess not having a summer vacation did have an impact. The other thing is fests of course. No Het BigBang and less HP fests that I took part in as well
Where did you publish/archive your stories?
Mostly AO3 and LJ. Cross-posting to FFN as well, but a tad behind on that.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
Yuletide always brings new fandoms. This year the stand outs are Faking It and How to Get Away With Murder. Hmm…Also, I suppose I never would have thought I’d write Mary/Lavinia (Downton Abbey).
Did you take any writing risks this year?
Not particularly, though I offered fandoms for exchanges which I’d hadn’t written before, so there was that.
Do you have any writing goals for the new year?
I’m not really a goal/resolution setting person. But I would like to write more this year. Maybe some of those ideas I’ve been hoping to write for a while. Writing more longfic.
What’s your favorite story this year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you the happiest.
Gosh, it's hard to pick. One Summer (To Define Forever) probably, regardless of the issues I have with it. Nobody's Hero (Except for Maybe Yours) and Something Like Hope are also strong contenders.
Okay, NOW your most popular story?
This is hard to pinpoint, but an educated guess says Ends That Start At Middles.
Story of yours most underappreciated by the universe, in your opinion?
Oh gosh. Most of my War and Peace stuff. But probably One Summer (To Define Forever) wins.
Story that could have been better?
There were several this year, unfortunately :/
Most fun story to write?
This would be a pretty big tie if I defined "fun" broadly. But I want to single out the one fic that wrote itself: With Him.
Story with single sweetest moment?
Didn't really have lots of fluff this year but One Summer (To Define Forever) certainly had moments that could fit this category.
The story that made you cry?
Of mine, none this year. But I write so much angst that I’m pretty resilient to it when I’m the one writing.
Most "holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story?
Hmm. Nothing that got exactly that reaction, but I'm still unsure how I managed a John/Moran fic.
Amazingly, The Benefit of Imprudence.
Hardest story to write
Several this year. I stretched a lot into new fandoms/pairings this year, and that’s always a challenge for me.
Easiest story to write?
Most unintentionally telling story
Lol I really don't know this year.
Story you haven't yet written, but intend to
Don’t get me started. I have a huge list (partially in my head) that I want to write. I always both intend and don’t quite intend to write any specific plot bunny... It really all depends on the circumstances ;)
